Le Passe Muraille
Marcel Aymé spent a large part of his life in Montmartre, specifically on Norvins Street. He became a neighborhood writer, since he placed most of his novels here. The statue is inspired by the author's novel "Le Passe-Muraille", where the protagonist had the gift of crossing walls.
Jean Marais, French actor and sculptor, immortalized the "Passe-Muraille" in 1989 on the wall in front of Marcel Aymé's house.
Like every statue that has something that shines, it says that if you touch your hand you can succeed and return to Paris. If you do not want it, later there is another statue that generates even more luck.
