Maison Rose

Laure Germaine married in 1905 with the Catalan painter Ramón Pichot Girones (1871-1925) and together they opened the 'Maison Rose', a restaurant that works until today. Laure became the director of this canteen. Artists of the time nicknamed her "tante Laure" or aunt Laura.

It was portrayed by famous painters, among them Maurice Utrillo who leaves many works of the neighborhood. It is said that also at that time it had as a rival model another canteen / cabaret: the Lapin Agile.
