The wall of the je t'aime

The wall of the 'je t'aime' ('I love you') was a work by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito. It is a must stop for lovers of the world who visit Paris, capital of love. The wall is built on a surface of 40 m², composed of a total of 612 enameled lava tiles, on which 311 'I love you' are written in 250 languages. The red strokes represent the pieces of a broken heart, symbol 'of a humanity that is torn and that the wall tries to gather'.

It is said that the creators called neighbors to help them to know the translation in each language, showing the cosmopolitan of the neighborhood and also how important it was a collective artwork.
